In 1998, considering all the tourist potential of the ranch, the expressive number of visitors, and with the tours being organized within sustainable norms, the owners decided to start the construction of the Boca da Onça resort. It took them three years to build the reception area, which was inaugurated in 2001. The preparation of trails finished in 2005.

Boca da Onça Ecotour, in compliance with the norms provided by the agencies for the Environment of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul (SEMA-Secretariat of the Environment and IMAP- Institute for the Pantanal Environment) has an operation license, an essential and mandatory item that ensures its commitment to the environment and safety.
